Information Before Reservation

Wildlife and Safety: The campus is surrounded by forests with wildlife, including elephants, wild boars, buffalo, deer, peacocks, and snakes. Stay alert and avoid walking into unlit areas at night. Despite the presence of wildlife, the campus is safe, with many staff families living on-site.

Energy Use: Our green campus relies primarily on solar energy. Air conditioners use government electricity, which can be erratic. Please keep doors and windows closed when using them. Contact the office for any issues.

Maintenance and Supplies: The admin meets residents every Monday and Friday for maintenance and non-medical needs. Essential items can be requested with a service charge of INR 50. For urgent needs, please hire a taxi.

  • Complimentary early check-in (11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon):
    Available subject to room availability on the day of arrival.
  • Early check-in (10:00 AM – 11:00 AM):
    Subject to availability and chargeable at 10% of the daily room rent.

Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM

  • Complimentary late check-out (until 12:00 Noon):
    Subject to availability and only with prior email confirmation received at least one day before check-out. (Lunch is not included.)
  • Late check-out (12:00 Noon – 2:00 PM):
    Subject to availability and chargeable at 10% of the daily room rent.(Lunch is included.)

Extended Early Arrival / Late Departure

  • For early arrivals between 5:00 AM and 10:00 AM
  • For late departures between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM
    A charge of 50% of the daily room rent will apply, subject to availability.

Packing Guide

  1. Bring relevant medical reports and regular medications for your entire stay.

  2. Pack simple, comfortable, modest clothing suitable for the season, including some old clothes that can be discarded if they get oil stains.

  3. Bring comfortable non-slip footwear for outdoors and separate indoor footwear, plus 2-3 pairs of socks.

Reaching SDJ Ayurvedalaya

SDJ Ayurvedalaya is conveniently located on Anaikatti Main Road, just outside Coimbatore city.

From Coimbatore International Airport: A 1 hour 15-minute drive (40 kilometers).

From Coimbatore Railway Station: Approximately a 45-minute drive (29 kilometers).

From Cochin International Airport: A 4 hour 30-minute drive (180 kilometers). This busy international airport is a preferred option for many travelers to avoid a domestic flight leg.

As part of the room guarantee policy, the reservation is guaranteed by an advance payment of Rs 30,000 (INR thirty thousand) or 350 USD or 300 Euros.

Payments from India or Indian Banks can be done via UPI, NEFT, or IMPS, and international payments can be routed through Wise ( wise.com) or Revolut (revolut.com)

Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy

Cancellation Charges

  • If cancelled 60–89 days before arrival : 20% of the booking fee (INR 6,000) will be charged.

  • If cancelled 30–59 days before arrival : 40% of the booking fee (INR 12,000) will be charged.

  • If cancelled 10–29 days before arrival : 80% of the booking fee (INR 24,000) will be charged.

  • If cancelled 3–9 days before arrival : 100% of the booking fee will be forfeited.

  • No-show or cancellation two days before the expected day of arrival: 50% of the total room rent is payable, and the booking fee is fully forfeited.


Rescheduling Instead of Cancelling

Special Flexibility Window

Health seekers may shift their arrival date by up to 7 days earlier or later without any fee, if the request is made at least 14 days before the arrival date.

  1. If rescheduled 90+ days before arrival : One rescheduling is free. New dates must be within the next 12 months.

  2. If rescheduled 60–89 days before arrival : 10% of the booking fee (INR 3,000) will be charged.

  3. If rescheduled 30–59 days before arrival : 20% of the booking fee (INR 6,000) will be charged.

  4. If rescheduled 10–29 days before arrival : 40% of the booking fee (INR 12,000) will be charged.

  5. Rescheduling within 1–9 days of arrival : Not permitted. It will be treated as a cancellation.


Shortening of Stay

If the stay is shortened before arrival (within 30 days)

  1. Treated as partial cancellation → 50% of the room cost for the cancelled days must be paid.

After arrival

  1. No refunds for leaving early , (Example: If booked 21 days but checks out on day 19, remaining 2 days will still be charged)

Refunds & Credit Options

All received funds are non-refundable.If excess balance remains in our account, the health seeker may choose either option below:

Advance Adjustment

  1. The excess amount will be kept as advance credit for future treatments at SDJ Ayurvedalaya (with proper receipts).

Refund Voucher (3-year validity)

  1. A voucher with a unique serial number will be issued.
  2. This voucher can be:
    • Used by the same health seeker, or
    • Transferred to a friend/relative with a recommendation email/letter.

Payment Methods

International Money Transfers – WISE & REVOLUT We highly recommend using WISE (wise.com ) or "REVOLUT" ( revolut.com ) for a seamless transfer process. Payments through any other platform or method are not accepted unless prior approval is obtained. Kindly share the transaction details and proof of transfer with [email protected].

Indian & Domestic Payments – UPI / Google Pay / NEFT / IMPS For domestic payments within India, using the QR code via UPI or Google Pay is the preferred option, as it involves zero processing fees. Payments can also be made via NEFT or IMPS. Please share the transaction details with [email protected]

Currency Exchange (USD / EUR / GBP) All payments are received in Indian Rupees (INR). Upon request, we can arrange a doorstep currency exchange at competitive rates through our trusted partners, who have been associated with us for over a decade. Typically, they offer exchange rates as displayed online, with no hidden fees or charges.

Card Payments Debit and credit card payments are the least preferred option due to additional charges. Banks apply a service fee of 3.67% on the transaction amount. However, please note that RUPAY card payments do not attract any service charges.


Transport Assistance

There is a good Taxi service called "Red Taxi" at Coimbatore Airport and their charges to bring you to our location are nominal between 1200 - 1500 INR while the taxi operators in our locality charge Rs 1700 for the same. Please be informed that the "Red Taxi" may be in high demand if many passengers land at the same time and you may have to wait longer.

Still, if you prefer to have a private taxi arranged for pickup from the airport, railway station, or any other location, please fill out this form 10 to 3 days before your travel date.

Upon receiving this form, our office will arrange a taxi and provide details such as the driver's name and phone number, vehicle type, and cost. Note that taxi prices may fluctuate with fuel costs.

On the appointed day, the taxi driver will be waiting for you. If your pickup location is the airport, the driver will be in the arrivals area with a placard saying "SDJ Ayurvedalaya welcomes [Your Name]."

    1. The cost includes the airport parking fee
    2. Pay the driver directly in Indian Rupees.
    3. For delayed flights or stopovers, a waiting charge of INR 100 per hour applies after the first 15 minutes.
    4. Additional charges may apply for route deviations; discuss with the driver.
    5. A pick-up between 11 PM and 5 AM incurs an additional fee of INR 200.
    6. If you miss the taxi for any reason, you must pay the full cost.
    7. We connect you with reliable taxi operators but are not responsible for any issues that may arise.
